Popped into the corner store,
to grab a drink
Innocent pack of bubblegum,
lying on the counter
Bringing back teenage fantasies
English classes and bubbles,
that made your mouth water
Longing stares that went unnoticed,
probably for the best
Wouldn't have been good, if it got out
So you just watch those bubbles burst,
between lips, you dream of kissing
Even though you already have a pair, to do that to
Glossed fruit just isn't the same,
It's bubblegum you want to taste
You take a pack to go
Try to remember your thoughts,
From all those years ago
Watching those bubbles burst and blow
Wondering how long it will take,
for the taste to go
